Life lately.

1.
I decided to make my flat feel a little more homely with a few things to jazz it up and make it feel more cosy and me. It actually helped a lot and I finally feel like I am at home and this is a place I can relax and feel comfortable in. It also inspired me to do a blog post on it, so watch out for that coming up.

2.
I got to spend a lot of time with my family lately and it has really made me realize what an amazing family I have and how lucky I am to have them and how truly grateful I am for them. I have been stuck in a bad place lately but spending time with them just pull me out of it and makes me feel loved and apart of something.

3.
My little kitten has to go live with my sister as it was to much stress for her to live here with my dog, plus my sister really wanted her and made a really good bond with her. It's sad cause I miss her and loved her lots but it's also good as I know she has a good home and will be spoilt. I will also get the see her there and plus I am now an auntie to a beautiful kitten, although I really want to be an auntie to a little baby (just saying Katie!)

4.
Starting this blog as really gave me something to work at and I have a really good feeling about it. I have always wanted to do a blog but I would always start and think it wasn't going anywhere as it wasn't good enough but this time I feel different. I feel like I am motivated and actually enjoy writing on it, I feel like its my baby and something to be proud of.

5.
Best till last, I am going on HOLIDAY! The other day we went round to my sisters for a chat and ended up booking a girls holiday for me, my sister, my mum, and a family friend on the 6th of April.
I am so so so excited I haven't been on a holiday in such a long time and it creates some blog ideas plus I actually cannot wait to spend some girly time with my sister and mum

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and my blog in general. Tell me about your life lately?

Mothers day gift ideas.

With mothers day approaching I thought I would share some gift ideas that I think would be perfect for mothers day.

flowers

Flower are such a perfect gift for most woman on any event as they are just so beautiful and reminder that you love the person and think of them. You can head in to most supermarkets and they will have a section of beautiful mothers day flowers for you to pick from. If you can afford a little bit extra take a look on moon pig they have some beautiful ones and while your there you can even make her a personalized card to just to show her how much you love and adore her.

candles
Mothers day is the perfect day for mothers to sit back and relaxed and what better way to do that than with a nice candle. Yankee candles do an amazing range of candles but if they are not in your budget you can look and amazon at some nice one or even some shops like B&M where they do some lovely ones for under £5.

Jewelry

Jewelry is a perfect gift to show someone how much you love them. There is a wide range of jewelry places to choose from that will have a mothers day selection like Tiffany's, Pandora, or even Argos, it all depends on your budget.

A meal

A lovely but simple idea for mothers day is to take her out for a meal. By doing this you get to treat her to a nice meal give her day off from cooking and you get to spend time with her. You can find out where her favorite place is to eat and book a table for just the two of you.

Spa hamper.

Mothers day is the perfect day to gift a spa hamper as mothers day is a day off a day for them to relax. There are plenty of spa hampers out there just type it into google but the best one would be a home made one, that way you get to personalize it to what your mother would like with some of her favorite things and brand. Now if your mother isn't the spa kind of woman the best thing with a hamper is you can do any kind from spa, movies, snacks, music, tea, what ever is your mother loves.

I hope you found this helpfully and got an idea how to treat you mother this mothers day, If you have any ideas please share them I would love to hear any ideas you have.

Heaven on my feet for just £10.

I recently made a trip to Primark, one of my favourite shops, and purchased a few new things, one of which was some black and white trainers for just £10 and they was that amazing I just had to tell you about them.
Since purchasing these trainers I haven't worn anything else but them when I have to go out. They are so comfortable it feels like I am going out in slippers. The material of the trainers let your toes move freely instead of squishing them together like some of the shoes have done in the past. The soul of the trainers are thick enough so you can not feel anything on the ground that you walk on but not harsh enough to hurt the soul of your feet. These are definitely a favourite of mine and a must have for me. As much as I love my Converse they will definitely be taking over them as my go to shoes. I think that they are the perfect trainer if that is for every day use or working out as they let your feet move freely and let them breathe too. They have never caused a blister or even rubbed on my feet. The best thing they come in a range of different colours from simple to bright colours all just for £10 I will definitely be heading back down to Primark to purchase a few more of these.

Bye bye stressed, hello refreshed.

Have you ever had one of those weeks or months that has mentally and physically drained you? You need a break just one day to refresh yourself so you can come back full of energy instead of full of stress. Even if you can’t get one full day as you’re too busy an hour or two set aside for yourself will make you feel much better. I feel no matter how busy you are it’s always important to set aside a couple of hours, or a day if you can, for yourself just to make you feel refreshed and ready for the days ahead. So today I’m going to tell you the top 5 things I do for me that help me feel refreshed, and hopefully this will give you some ideas or just inspire you to take some time out for yourself.
Take a bath
A bath is something that I’ve always enjoyed since being a little kid I can literally spend hours in the bath, just taking that time away from everyone else just to be on myself, to pamper myself, and to wash my worries and stress away. A bath is a very relaxing thing for me and this is why I think it is a very good thing to do after a stressful week or so, just to relax your body and mind, just to get away from the world and just to spend time with you in a nice relaxed place. You can even take it up a notch just to make it more enjoyable for you. Light some Candles and romance yourself, there’s nothing wrong with a little romance even if it’s coming from yourself to yourself, in fact that the best kind. Also try bath bombs I don’t know what it is about bath bombs but they just make the bath feel so much better and make it look better. Another thing you could try is a face masks, pampering yourself is an amazing thing to do to make you feel more refreshed and I’m sure that we all deserve it. Also with face masks you can get a little bit creative with making your own, there are plenty of a recipes out there for all different skin types so that you can cater it to your skin type, I always say diy face mask are the way to go.
Get in touch with your inner …
Most of us have that thing that we like to do, a hobby, but when we get held up in work and life in general we seem to forget about these hobbies and they get it pushed aside. Finding time to do things that I like and enjoy always makes me feel better like I’m getting the little pleasures out of life, I’m making me happy. So whether it is getting in touch with your inner writer, painter, blogger, gamer, photographer, or just anything that makes you happy you should do it. No matter how busy you get in life you should never forget about the little things that bring you joy the little things that make you you. I believe that having a hobby is a blessing and we should appreciate that blessing and never take it for granted.
Read a book or watch a film
Reading a book or watching a film is something that helps me take my mind off of the stresses in my life and help me concentrate on something else while bring me joy at the same time. I would suggest to watch a happy film or read a happy book as those type always end up making me feel better in the end than when you started watching or reading the film or book. This is another thing that you can take up a notch just to make it more enjoyable for you. First off would be to put on some comfortable PJs or clothing, I would definitely say that I prefer to be in my pjs when kicking back and relaxing. Another thing you could do if it’s winter to get wrapped up in a nice fluffy blanket, or if it’s summer to crack open the window and turn on the fan, just so you be more comfortable while watching a film or reading your book. Next to go grab a drink of your choice, this could also change depending on the weather, my choice of drink for the winter would be a hot chocolate whereas in summer it would be tropical juice or maybe even a smoothie. Saving the best till last, food. Go grab your favourite snack and sit back and enjoy.
Get outside
Getting outside is something that really helps me to feel refresh, as being cooped up in the house can just make me feel overstressed and stuck. Whether you’re going for a walk or to sit outdoors at a cafe whatever it is I strongly advise, as spending time on you outdoors is something that can really help your mind. You could also make this better and more enjoyable for yourself by including someone else in your outdoor time, even if you have a child or pet it can be a wonderful way to bond with them.
Spending time with loved ones
Spending time with loved ones is something that we should all do but when your life gets busy it’s something that is easily pushed aside. After being to visit somebody that I love and haven’t seen in a long time I just feel so much more happier and like I got a lot off my chest, as talking to them about your problems and stress could help, a problem shared is a problem halved, also they may have great advice. There is nothing saying that you just have to go and just sit and chat, although that might work for some people, you could arrange an activity for you both to do that you both enjoy, therefore not only are you getting to spend time with the loved one you are also getting to spend time doing something that enjoy.
These are just some things that I enjoy to do to help me become less stress and just show myself I love myself. I’m not saying that these will work for everyone I am just simply giving you ideas. I hope that you do take something from this weather it’s a couple of ideas or inspiration to spend time on you. thank you for reading and if you do have any ideas of your own please don’t hesitate as I would be happy to hear them.

I love green tea

I've heard so many good things about green tea that I just had to try it out and see if what they was saying was true. I have been drinking green tea for about two months give or take a little and like many people I have see maybe benefits from it.

The first way it helped me is with my nails. now my nails have never really been that strong and they break easy so I can never really grow them that long. since drinking green tea I have notice that they have become much stronger and are in a much better way and this makes it so I can grow them as long as I like.

Also I have notice a change in my hair. My hair is pretty damaged from all the dye and heat products but since drinking green tea I have notice it has more of a shine to it than before.

The next thing to benefit from it was my weight. Now this is the main one that people hear about and the reason most people start to drinking it. Green tea is not magical it can not make you drop dress sizes eating healthy and exercises is what does that. It may not make you drop dress sizes but it does help with your weight as long as you are also willing to but the effort in too.

The thing that I think has benefited most from it is my skin. The first thing being my spots. I always was lucky with spots I never really use to get them, however there was a few times I did but since drinking green tea the few times I did get them got even less and they was not as noticeable as they where before, also they seemed to clear up faster. The next thing was dry skin. I have always had an issue  with dry skin and getting dry patches on my face specially around my eyes but since drinking green tea I can safely say that my dry patches have cleared up and I have not had them since.

I am not saying that green tea will do all of this for you I am just simply telling you what it did for me. I think its worth the try and if you don't benefit from in then you lose nothing you may even gain a new Favourite drink. I hope you do decided to try it out that you will like it as much as me and see many benefits. If you do decide to give it ago let me know if and how it works for you.

Lips are important too!

Most people tend to forget about lip care and just put on a little lip balm now and then. I am going to tell you simple easy things you can to keep your lips looking soft and feeling smooth.

First thing is just a simple one. Drink water! I can’t stress this enough there are so many benefits of drinking water from lips, to skin, to hair, and all these other beauty and general health things the list just goes on. Just try it drink 2 liters of water every day and you’ll notice the different.
Next, in the morning and at night after brushing your teeth run your bush under warm water then brush your lips gently with the we tooth brush. This helps exfoliate the dead skin away from your lips making the soft and flake free.  It also stimulates blood circulation.
Another thing you can do at night is right before you go to bed put some Vaseline or petroleum jelly on them and then your lips can absorb the moisture over night leaving them soft and smooth in the morning ready to tackle the day.

The last thing is a homemade lip scrub and you only need two ingredients:
·         coconut oil
·         Sugar

Mix a little of the two ingredients together then with your finger apply in to your lips and rub gently in circular motions , do this for a minute or so then leave it for a couple of seconds for your lips to absorb  then simply just wash off with lukewarm water. Doing this leaves your lips exfoliated and moisturized ,do this about twice a week or even ones a week. This scrub is also good for you hands, nails and cuticles so give that ago too
